I know I read another but remember nothing about it. A little ways into this I thought, Oh no, another sloppy author. Push some thing out every few months to keep a publisher happy. Don't bother to look for inconsistencies.2/5.

I really became a fan in when I was 13 years old. EMI re-released all the Beatles singles and they all reached the top of the British charts at once. Northanger Abbey is a hilarious parody of 18th century gothic novels. The heroine, year old Catherine, has been reading far too many “horrid” gothic novels and would love to encounter some gothic-style terror — but the superficial world of Bath proves hazardous enough.

Mega-selling author, Marco Ocram, is on the edge of a nervous breakdown, and needs complete rest. Police Chief Como Galahad—Marco’s main character—needs a volunteer to go under-cover at the Abbey, a remote celebrity retreat run as a medieval monastery, where something fishy is.

A book was even released in chronicling some of the drama that has taken place behind the scenes. Recently, Huntsman apologized to some of the hosts on "The View" for having neglected. It is also the title of the first book of the series, published inas well as the name of the Abbey featured in the book, and is the name of an animated TV series based on three of the novels (Redwall, Mattimeo, and Martin the Warrior), which first aired in The books are primarily aimed at.

This was a tongue-in-cheek spoof of Umberto Eco's bestseller about a series of murders in a monastery. It is set in a celebrity retreat (The Abbey) run as a medieval monastery.

There are some parts which parody aspects of Eco's book, but the 'plot' is made up on the spot by Ocram as he writes it (as in the first Awful Truth book).Reviews: 7.

Probably the least well known of Jane Austen's six major novels, Northanger Abbey is a delightful treat. Written as an affectionate satire of the Gothic novels of her day, the book reads as well as a satire of current romance and paranormal s: K.

Amy Irvine is a writer and a mother, a competitive rock climber, an activist, a caregiver, and a truth teller. (She is also a friend.) Her latest book, Desert Cabal, is a fiercely tender and provocative response to Edward Abbey’s Desert Solitaire—his classic and now canonical account of the desert West—on the fiftieth anniversary of its publication.

Northanger Abbey is largely a novel about novels and about reading habits. This book has an odd sort of self awareness of itself as a novel and the narrator often steps back from the story she's telling to consider it as a story.

Rather than just tell us about Catherine, we learn about Catherine as a heroine and as a fictional character.
